Enjoy now, share with the world later. There’s not much of a choice anyway…
Type ‘Cambodia’ on your favorite search engine and the results will point towards the majestic temples and charming villages of this unique Southeast Asian nation, and for a good reason. Even the national flag suggests the Cambodian rich and astonishing archaeological heritage. For this reason, Cambodian beaches are a somewhat overlooked gem.
Although not as stereotypical as their more ‘cultural’ counterparts, they are still popular among tourists, and worth considering for a fantastic summer getaway, with many of them being on the beaten path of tourism. They offer all the comfort and convenience needed for an unforgettable stay, including phone signal and wifi to keep your virtual community fed with your experience.
After all, low or nonexistent signal are some of the inconveniences of our modern times…right? Nobody wants to miss out what is going on in the world, or share one’s own ‘here and now’…right? Well, there is at least one island in Cambodia, where the signal is just a distraction that needs to be avoided at all costs in order to experience fully the astonishing ‘here and now’. Koh Rong Sanloem is a spectacle of deep tropical jungle, white-sand beaches, and pristine waters of all shades of blue and turquoise. And there is not much of a choice anyway. Thankfully, the phone signal is weak, and that is great!
This gallery attempts to make justice to the mesmerizing charm of Koh Rong Sanloem. A paradise off the beaten path.
